Pickup Seen at Dallas FIG Show
The action was brisk at Fashion Industry Gallery's three-day fall and holiday market that ended June 4. Buyer traffic rose 33 percent over the prior year's show, including gains from Florida, Michigan, New York and California, and FIG registered 100 stores that were new to the venue, said Emma Greathouse, director.

Dallas Preview: FIG's Packed House

FIG: Pushing the Programs
Fashion Industry Gallery is getting more aggressive with marketing as
well as considering improvements to the facility in 2010.
The
October show was the biggest of 2009 in terms of buyer attendance and
the number of resources exhibiting, giving FIG a sense of optimism for
the first half, said Bekah McKee, marketing coordinator. The
five-year-old venue hosted 140 lines in its temporary Shop show plus
hundreds of resources in 40 permanent showrooms.
