Yellow isn’t always the easiest color to wear, but for fall, designers turned to more muted shades of goldenrod and saffron. It looked fresh in eveningwear, presenting a fresh alternative to the LBD at Erin Fetherston, Jason Wu, Monse, and more.
The metallic looks were all the rage on the catwalks as we noticed skirts, dresses, tops, pants and everything in between appearing in silver, gold, copper and more. It was a look we easily fell in love with. The variety of shiny metallic details offered all sorts of ways to dress like the disco ball of your dreams this season.
Mind-boggling color combinations that bordered optical illusions, exploded in prints and patterns for the Fall season. These looks were featured in the Fall 2017 collections of Cinq a Sept, Jeremy Scott, Naeem Khan, Tory Burch and Victoria Beckham, among others.
PANT SUIT NATION
Pant Suits were shaping up to be NYFW’s biggest trend. Sporty separates like gently tailored blazers and button-downs, channeled strong '80s power-suiting vibes for Fall 2017.
OUTERWEAR FOR ALL OCCASSIONS
Oversized pieces, puffers, bombers, trenches, maxi coats, and A-line styles, we saw them all. They came trimmed in shearling, overlaid in vinyl, embellished with yarn, splashed with prints and done in a wide spectrum of colors.
With the Victorian detailing so very new, it makes sense to see a broadening of the century clothing. The Renaissance looks took on a 21st century feel making things more interesting. The trend included embroidery, lace, and velvet, while others brought in a few different styles and created a Renaissance look of their own.
