POSTED MAY 11, 2020:

Dear. f.i.g. Community,

From our family to yours, we hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well. Here in Texas, Governor Greg Abbott has started a gradual plan to reopen the state after our period of “shelter in place.” The novel coronavirus continues to affect nearly every community and every business across the country, however, and as such, we’re all facing each new day in a different way.

Throughout this challenging time, Fashion Industry Gallery has remained focused on supporting our showrooms, temporary exhibitors and retailers. For that reason, I’m writing today with special information about our upcoming Fall 2 / Winter Market and open hours. The schedule is as follows:

  • June 2-4 / Open for Walk-Ins & Appointments
  • June 24-26 / Fashion Industry Gallery (f.i.g.) Fall 2/Winter Market
  • July 21-23 Open for Walk-Ins & Appointments

The coming weeks and months will necessarily look different in many ways. Most importantly, we are committed to your health and safety while visiting Fashion Industry Gallery (f.i.g.). The following COVID-19 Requirements & Precautions will be in place throughout our June Market and open periods.

Fashion Industry Gallery (f.i.g.)
COVID-19 Requirements & Precautions

All persons within Fashion Industry Gallery (f.i.g.) must wear a covering over their nose and mouth.

All entrances to Fashion Industry Gallery (f.i.g.) are monitored by staff or security guards or secured by key card entry, and all persons entering the building will be asked to complete a precautionary questionnaire per recent travel, person-to-person contact and symptoms of COVID-19.

As an added precaution, f.i.g. staff may also take the temperature of any person entering the building (see signs and symptoms below).

Hand sanitizer is located throughout the building for use by all visitors, staff and exhibitors. Please wash hands often (lather for a minimum of 20 seconds) or use hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol.

For the health and safety of all visitors, staff and exhibitors, in-house food and beverage service will be suspended during Fashion Industry Gallery (f.i.g.) June Market. A list of delivery services and guidelines will be available at the front desk for the convenience of those who wish to order food.

All restrooms and common areas at Fashion Industry Gallery (f.i.g.) are thoroughly cleaned daily, and restrooms and common touchpoints are sanitized at frequent intervals throughout each day.

Fashion Industry Gallery showrooms are encouraged to implement the following practices:

  • Wash or sanitize hands upon entering showroom and after any interaction with employees, customers or items.
  • Maintain at least 6 feet of distance from other individuals not within the same household. If such distancing is not feasible, face covering, hand hygiene, cough etiquette, cleanliness and sanitation should be rigorously practiced.
  • Consider providing buyers with a self-screening process (supplied by f.i.g.) prior to their arrival to identify any new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19.

If you have any of the following signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19, please stay home, as you will not be permitted to enter the building:

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Diarrhea
  • Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0° F
  • Known close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19

Individuals 65 years of age or older are at a higher risk and are especially urged to take precautions.

In addition, notable differences in the market experience will include:

  • Select showrooms will be open for appointments and walk-ins during market and open periods as listed above.
  • We advise checking with individual showrooms for availability. You can use our directory of exhibitors to browse showrooms and brands, and we will release a full list of participating showrooms when available.
  • Limited temporary exhibitors will be available during market only.
  • For the health and safety of all persons, in-house food and beverage service will be suspended. A list of delivery services and guidelines will be available at the front desk for the convenience of those who wish to order food.
  • For the health and safety of all persons, valet and shuttle service will be suspended. Staff members will be happy to share taxi and ride share options.

Stay safe, and please watch your email for periodic updates. We look forward to welcoming you to Fashion Industry Gallery (f.i.g.) in coming weeks.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Buonamici
CEO, Fashion Industry Gallery
