DALLAS — Designer Galina Sobolev will visit Fashion Industry Gallery for opening day of the fall market, March 22 to 24.
Looks from her label Single will be worn by the venue’s FIGlet interns and featured at the market’s traditional Thursday evening cocktail party beginning at 6 p.m.
The Russian-born, Los Angeles-based designer has exhibited at FIG for several years. Sobolev blends her cultural heritage with California style in Single’s colorful silk dresses and signature, exclusive prints.
In other news at FIG, BB Dakota is expanding its permanent showroom, and more than 20 lines will be new to the Shop temporary show. These include Betsey Johnson Collection, Michael Kors watches and jewelry, Pour La Victoire handbags and shoes, Koch sportswear and Levi’s Made & Crafted.
In addition, The Commons Showroom, which represents Koolaburra and Goddis, and Namaste Showroom, which specializes in casual sportswear and denim, will exhibit at Shop.
Other resources new to permanent showrooms are 10 Corso Colombo sportswear at the Dallas Work/Shop; Herff Christiansen sportswear at Hatch; Corey Lynn Calter accessories at Laurie Hasson; Deborah Gaspar accessories at The Globe and Diana Warner clutches and belts at her corporate jewelry showroom.
Located in the Arts District, FIG is a juried venue specializing in contemporary and bridge fashion, accessories and footwear.
